Quickstart#
Get GroupCRM running in about 10 minutes. This guide walks you from sign-up to your first automated approval.
What you need#
- A Facebook account with admin access to at least one Group
- Google Chrome (required for the extension)
Step 1: Sign up#
Go to app.groupcrm.co/signup and sign in with Facebook. GroupCRM uses Facebook OAuth — there is no separate email/password.
New accounts get a 7-day free trial with full access. No credit card required.
Step 2: Install the Chrome extension#
During onboarding, install the GroupCRM Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. Pin it in your toolbar so you can confirm it is active.
The extension must be running (Chrome open, logged into Facebook) for GroupCRM to sync and process member requests. See the Chrome Extension guide for details.
Step 3: Sync your groups#
Click Sync Groups in onboarding or from the Groups page. GroupCRM fetches all Facebook Groups where you are an admin and lists them in your dashboard.
Step 4: Enable a group#
Go to Groups and toggle a group on. This tells GroupCRM to watch that group for pending member requests.
Step 5: Configure group settings#
Click Settings next to an enabled group. The settings wizard has three tabs:
Setup — Google Sheets#
Paste your Google Sheet URL and click Verify. Approved member data flows to the sheet automatically. See Google Sheets.
Autoapprove — Approval rules#
Set criteria for auto-approving or declining members. See Auto-Approve Members.
Autoresponder — Welcome messages#
Configure welcome or decline messages sent when members are approved or rejected. See Welcome Messages.
Step 6: Let it run#
Once configured, GroupCRM works in the background:
- New member requests sync to your dashboard
- Rules evaluate each request automatically
- Matching members are approved, leads captured, and data exported
What's next?#
- Chrome Extension — keep the extension running reliably
- Auto-Approve Members — set up approval criteria
- Lead Capture — extract emails and phone numbers
- Webhooks — connect to Zapier, Make, or your own backend
