#Chrome Extension

The GroupCRM Chrome extension connects your browser to Facebook so member requests sync to your dashboard and automation rules can run.

#Install

1. Go to app.groupcrm.co and sign in with your GroupCRM email and password
2. During onboarding, click the link to the Chrome Web Store
3. Click Add to Chrome and confirm
4. Pin the extension: click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar, then pin GroupCRM
5. Back in onboarding, confirm the Facebook profile GroupCRM detected. The extension links the Facebook account you are logged into in Chrome. It never asks for your Facebook password

#How it works

The extension runs silently in the background while you are logged into Facebook in Chrome. You don't need to keep the popup or any tab open. It:

• Checks your groups for pending member requests at each group's check interval (every 15 minutes by default)
• Syncs member data (name, profile, membership answers) to GroupCRM
• Approves or declines requests and sends messages on your behalf, within your safety limits

GroupCRM cannot sync or automate without the extension active.

#Requirements

• Google Chrome: other Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave) may work but are not officially supported
• Logged into Facebook in the same Chrome profile
• Chrome must be running: closing Chrome or putting the computer to sleep stops checks. When Chrome is back, GroupCRM catches up on every request that came in while it was away

#Safety pauses

The extension pauses itself when Facebook pushes back: 12 hours after a security check, 30 minutes after a logout, 2 hours after a rate limit, and 30 minutes to 6 hours after repeated errors. It resumes on its own. See Troubleshooting.

#Troubleshooting

#Extension not detected

1. Confirm the extension is installed and enabled in chrome://extensions
2. Make sure you are signed in to app.groupcrm.co in the same Chrome profile
3. Refresh the GroupCRM dashboard
4. Make sure you are using Chrome, not Safari or Firefox

#Members not syncing

1. Verify the group is turned on in My Groups and not set to Off
2. Confirm you are an admin of the group on Facebook
3. Check that Chrome is open and you are logged into Facebook
4. Check whether automation is paused. See Troubleshooting

#Rules not triggering

1. Confirm the group is in Lead saving + auto-approve mode
2. Check that approval criteria are set on the group's Approval criteria tab, and use Test rules to see why a request wasn't approved
3. New requests can take up to the group's check interval to appear. Refresh the Pending Requests page
