When messages send
| Event | Message sent |
|---|---|
| Member auto-approved | Welcome message (if on) |
| Member auto-declined | Decline message (if on) |
| Member approved or declined from the GroupCRM Pending Requests page | Welcome or decline message (if on) |
| Member left questions blank (auto-approve mode with "Answered all membership questions" on) | Ask to finish answering (if on) |
Requests you approve or decline directly on Facebook don't trigger messages.
How delivery works
Messages are sent from your Facebook account through Messenger, using the Chrome extension:
- One at a time, 45 to 120 seconds apart
- Up to your daily message limit (30 per day by default, set in Settings → Automation safety)
- Messages to people who aren't your friends usually land in their Message Requests folder
Tips
- Keep messages short and personal. Messaging many people who aren't your friends is the most common reason Facebook asks for a security check
- Use decline messages sparingly. People who were declined are the most likely to report messages
- Avoid links that look spammy
- Combine with Auto-Approve criteria so only qualified members receive welcome messages
